The Grill

Experience an extravaganza of intense sights, smells, textures and tastes at the Grill at CUT. Share an order of Lobster Poutine, Beef Short Ribs or Chapli Kebabs around the table. From our gourmet burger menu, enjoy your choice of unique toppings, from applewood cheddar to double smoked bacon to foie gras. Pair it with a creamy, old fashioned milkshake or a glass of white or red from our award-winning wine list.

The moment you enter the Grill at CUT, the 3D quartz stone walls, funky Italian lighting and jazzy background music will invite you to the cosmopolitan dining area. Take a seat and relax in an oversized circular banquette or contemporary chair, while enjoying the casually chic atmosphere and beautiful waterfront views. In the summer months, unwind on the patio and take in the sights and sounds of Halifax Harbour. Or, feed your curiosity and sit at the bar, overlooking the open kitchen, and enjoy the aromas of seared meats and other culinary delights as you watch the chef carefully prepare your meal.

Let the Grill at CUT set the scene for your next social gathering. Invite your friends or colleagues to join you after work for a tasty specialty cocktail, a refreshing glass of white wine, velvety red or bubbly, or a cold local or imported beer. Wines are available by the bottle or by the glass, in two sizes - 3oz and 5oz.

 The Grill at CUT also features an in-house "butchery", where we dry age our beef to perfection for 35 days. To satisfy your sweet tooth, end your meal with our housemade chocolate bar, a crepe tower, or a trio of housemade ice cream cones.

Each dish on our menu is carefully prepared under the direction of Executive Chef Tahir Salamat. Trained in classic French cuisine, he further developed his culinary craft in Qatar, Seychelles, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia before joining RCR Hospitality Group in Halifax.

The Grill at Cut is located at the corner of Lower Water and Salter Streets, in front of the new Marriot Courtyard Hotel, and next to the Brewery Market. Our dining area seats 75 guests inside and 30 on the patio, during the summer months.

Open for lunch Monday to Friday from noon to 3 p.m. and for dinner daily from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Ample parking is available across the street.
